Air Peace, founded in 2013, is the largest airline in Nigeria & West Africa, with a fleet of 23 aircraft. It flies to 20+ domestic & international destinations. Air Peace has a good safety record & customer service.
The Airline provides great services, but their website is cluttered with distracting content, making it difficult for customers to find what they are looking for. A well-designed website is essential for creating a positive impression and increasing customer loyalty.
The homepage is cluttered with distractions, making it difficult to book a flight. Pop-ups, banners, and promotions compete for attention, making it hard to focus on the task at hand.
Design the website with a clean interface, vibrant colours, clear and concise language, logical organization with clear and helpful instructions.
I conducted a heuristic evaluation of the website's user interface to identify usability problems. I then organized the interface into sections to make it more logical.
I also studied the website designs of other airlines and used them as references to guide my redesign process.
Some banners on the landing page were redesigned with bright, eye-catching colours and images to be more inviting to the users.
Issue - There are a lot of information on the notification section vying for attention. The information is not organized, which makes users wonder which information is relevant or should be prioritized first.
Resolve - Some information was grouped into a single line and others repositioned to the footer.
Issue - The company logo is dull on the current background and the navigation links lack contrast with the background, which is reducing users' interests in exploring the site.
Resolve - The company logo and navigation links were placed on a clear white background with clear colours to invite users to discover more.
Issue - The transparent flight booking tab and underwhelming colour palette are not user-centred. They are difficult to use for old, colour-blind, and visually impaired users. This issue is present in all orientations of the website.
Resolve - The tab was organized neatly so users can easily see the next step and proceed with their booking.
Issue - Slide show with promotional banners for new products/services/updates is behind the flight booking tab. Several pieces of information are obscured by the flight booking tab.
Resolve - The promotional banner for services or updates was positioned in a separate section on the landing page.
A design system was created to ensure uniformity and balance across all pages.

Reviews and comments show that the new website design is user-friendly and fun to use.
There are several iterations I would love to make on the website but for now I will leave it the way it is and possibly revisit the design in future.
